Community leaders cut ribbon on all-new collision center, Knoxville Motor Company BodyWerks

Leaders of Furrow Automotive, Mercedes-Benz of Knoxville, and Land Rover Knoxville, as well as executives from Mercedes-Benz USA, Land Rover North America, and Sherwin-Williams, and elected officials, celebrated the completion Dec. 7 of the Knoxville Motor Company BodyWerks collision center, part of a community investment that will create 40 jobs and raise the standard for East Tennessee’s automotive industry.

Knoxville Motor Company BodyWerks celebrated its opening with a ribbon cutting on December 7, 2023.

New Features Enhance Customer Experience

The state-of-the-art facility has been meticulously designed to optimize every aspect of the collision repair process. From the moment customers walk through the door, they will notice the BodyWerks “Evolution” theme showcasing its partnership with Sherwin-Williams and inspired by the Mercedes-AMG® PETRONAS Formula One Team; BodyWerks is the first “Evolution”-themed collision center in the United States. The enhanced production flow ensures customers enjoy a better experience and faster delivery. The collision center team consists of highly trained, experienced technicians who use only factory-certified parts. The facility also boasts expanded paint booths with the capacity to handle large recreational vehicles and commercial vans.

BodyWerks specializes in body care and collision repair for commercial vans and top luxury brands, such as Mercedes-Benz, Volvo and Land Rover. All makes and models of vehicles are welcome, and BodyWerks works with all insurance companies. BodyWerks is Mercedes-Benz Elite Certified, which includes certification for commercial van repair and aluminum structural repair. The facility also is Volvo Certified and will earn Land Rover Certification in the first quarter of 2024. Technicians undergo continuous training to ensure they are well versed in advancements in technology and the latest tools of the trade.

The new facility expands the Furrow Automotive footprint in Knoxville, adding extra capacity to serve customers and provide a world-class experience in automotive sales, service and collision repair. Furrow Automotive’s presence continues to grow as construction on a new, reimagined dealership for Land Rover Knoxville already is underway. In addition, the opening of BodyWerks will allow Mercedes-Benz of Knoxville to expand its Service Department and upgrade its Reconditioning Center.

The BodyWerks collision center is located at 10580 Parkside Drive in West Knoxville and open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
