An Environmental Service Contract

Science, Security and Teflon® Technology

Simoniz has been a leader in car care technology since 1911. Today we offer an exclusive paint protection process that contains Teflon, called Simoniz System 5. Simoniz System 5 is the only paint protection system in the USA and Canada that is fortified with Teflon. This process is so effective that our warranty protects your vehicle's painted surface and resale value for 5 years unlimited mileage. Moreover, it is insured by one of the premier insurers in the United States.

Why Is Teflon® So Important?

Teflon, which is known for its "non stick" properties, helps keep the contaminants and pollutants that attack your vehicle everyday from adhering to your paint. And only Simoniz System 5 contains Teflon, which helps to protect your vehicle from the acids found in acid rain, tree sap, bird waste, insects and a wide range of other adverse environmental conditions and contaminants. The exclusive SYSTEM 5 paint sealant process actually adds strength to the finished surface of your vehicle keeping your vehicle in "showroom condition", guaranteed!

What are the environmental contaminants that are not covered by my factory "Warranty" that this Warranty Program will cover?

Once the factory applied plastic wrap is removed at the dealership, your vehicle's paint finish is no longer protected.  Acid rain, which is the EPA documented results of industrial pollution, bird waste and tree sap, which are also highly acidic and the harmful UV rays from the sun. These contaminants destroy the clearcoat paint finish on your vehicle resulting in permanent water spotting, blemishes, oxidation, fading and loss of gloss. The Simoniz SYSTEM 5 warranty program will repair or repaint your vehicle if it should develop paint damage caused by acid rain, tree sap, bird waste or UV from the sun. Visit www.epa.gov.

Why is this program important to you?

Resale value and good looks! Your car or truck’s finish is important when you go to sell or trade in your vehicle. Your vehicle’s finish can make a difference of hundreds or even thousands of dollars in its value. Simoniz SYSTEM 5 can protect your investment.

Taking advantage of leasing?

Leasing is a great way of driving a new car or truck. But all lease companies have a clause in their contracts that hold you responsible for the vehicles condition at “turn in” time. It’s called excess wear and tear and, at the end of your lease, you are held responsible for the condition of your vehicle’s finish and interior. The Simoniz SYSTEM 5 Program helps keep your leased vehicle in tiptop condition.

SIMONIZ® SYSTEM 5 INTERIOR PROTECTION

The advanced Simoniz SYSTEM 5 treatment (optional) protects your fabric or leather seats against common spills such as coffee, baby formula, soft drinks, french fries and other similar staining foods and liquids for up to 5 years. If you have children or travel a lot, interior protection is a great idea.

Rental Car Coverage

In the event that you do have a claim, Simoniz understands the inconvenience that can cause. Knowing this we will cover your rental expenses at $50.00 a day for a maximum of 5 days.

Dent Guardian Plus covers these unlimited repairs for three or five years:

Paintless Dent Removal (PRD)

PDR is the process developed by automobile manufacturing production teams that uses specialized hand tools, not suction cups, to return dented metal back to it’s original form.  This permanently removed door dings and minor dents without harming a vehicle’s factory finish.

Sprayless Scratch & Paint Chip Repair

Paint chips and scratches are often minor, but they can have a huge effect on the appearance of your car.  Even worse… stone chips, scratches and scuffs can penetrate the finish of your paint, making the area prone to rust.  Once rust sets in, it is very difficult to remove.  Auto body spray painting is expensive and unnecessary for these blemishes.

Windshield Repair

Does your windshield have chips, “bulls-eyes,” star-shaped areas, or other small cracks?  Such damage can spread and even weaken the strength and integrity of your windshield if not repaired.  Our process can restore the clarity and strength of your windshield and is an affordable alternative to replacement.

Alloy Wheel Repair

It usually doesn’t take long for the showroom look of new alloy wheels to disappear.  Curb rash, scrapes, scuffs, and stone chips can quickly degrade the overall appearance of your vehicle.  We can repair the finish on your wheels, returning then to showroom condition.

…Plus $500 hail damage repair benefit!

Diamon Fusion

When we think of glass, we think of a surface that’s perfectly smooth, even slick. But in reality, the surface of glass is rough and ridged, with microscopic peaks and craters. Not only does water “stick” to this irregular plane, but debris also smacks against it with significant friction, and can inflict serious damage.

More than just a coating that can peel and blister over time, Diamon-Fusion® molecularly fuses with glass to form a hydrophobic barrier. It creates a new chemical bond that enhances visibility in bad weather and strengthens glass weight load by up to ten times. As a result, water beads up and rolls away, and small road debris ricochets off.

The advantages of Diamon-Fusion® technology are crystal clear…

  • Improves visibility to extend driver reaction time
  • Deflects small road debris to reduce damage to glass
  • Allows insects to be easily washed away
  • Makes ice and snow much easier to remove
  • Is impervious to UV rays
  • Protects against acid rain, corrosion, mineral buildup

Patented in more than 32 countries, Diamon-Fusion® has proven phenomenally successful in industrial and marine applications here in the US. England and Germany have used it for years on high performance cars. Why? Because Diamon-Fusion® works!

Tested and certified by independent labs to decrease adhesion, increase repellency and extend the durability of glass, Diamon-Fusion® technology is now available for automotive application in the United States.

Extended Service Contracts

Extended Service Contracts offer peace of mind by protecting against high cost or catastrophic repairs and by making repair costs predictable over the life of the vehicle. Some Extended Service Contracts can improve resale value by allowing transfer to a new owner when a vehicle is sold.

Many customers ask, "What is the difference between an Extended Warranty and an Extended Service Contract?" Both products can offer the same level of coverage. The only difference is that the term Extended Warranty is used when the product is offered by the vehicle manufacturer. The term Extended Service Contract is used when the coverage is provided by a company other than the manufacturer.

There are hundreds of companies that offer service contracts and thousands of policies on the market. For consumers, it is critical to separate the great Extended Service Contract from the poor ones.

Mercedes-Benz of Knoxville offers Easy Care Extended Service Contracts from APCO.

Easy Care is a superior Extended Service Contract because:

  • Easy Care Total Care covers an extremely broad range of repairs, including problems caused by wear and tear.  Standard coverage includes roadside assistance, substitute transportation, and tire road hazard.  Other coverage options are available.
  • Easy Care is the Extended Service Contract from Automotive Protection Corporation of America (APCO). APCO was established in 1982 and is a fully owned subsidiary of Ford Motor Company.
  • Covered vehicles can be repaired at any reputable automotive repair facility.
  • APCO will coordinate repairs and will typically pay the facility directly - making it very easy to get a problem fixed.
  • Easy Care service contracts can be obtained with coverage up to 100,000 total vehicle miles and 10 years from the date the ESC is purchased, whichever occurs earlier. A wide range of "miles and months" options are available.
  • Flexible deductibles of $0, $50, $100, $200 are available. The deductible is paid once per visit to a repair facility.

GAP - Guaranteed Auto Protection

A high quality GAP product can pay your remaining loan balance after your auto insurance company pays the actual cash value in the event of a total loss to the vehicle. The remaining loan balance after your auto insurance company makes payment is commonly called the "deficiency".

GAP can prevent a situation where your vehicle is a total loss but there is still a balance due on your loan, because your auto insurance company didn't pay the loan in full. In these situations, you are still responsible for making payments and paying off the loan.

GAP makes sense when:

  • You owe more money on your vehicle than its market value.
  • You have several years left to pay off a newer vehicle. In the early months of your car loan, vehicles often decrease in value faster than the loan balance decreases, creating a loan to value gap.
  • You have a loan at a high interest rate.
  • Your auto insurance policy doesn't guarantee that they will replace your vehicle. This is the case for most insurance. A key risk is the amount of money your insurance company will reimburse you for a total loss.
